Acclaimed Firm Helps National Recreation Alliance Tone Up Image
Herndon, Virginia, August 17, 2007 - A unique coalition of national organizations focused on physical activity, recreation, and health has selected the Northern Virginia-based branding and communication firm Vizuäl to help the group better communicate with the public and other organizations.
The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (AAHPERD) plays a central role in its field from its offices in Reston, Virginia. To move to the next level, the group needed a way to identify its alliance so that no single member organization would be too prominent. "It's a classic challenge of associations of organizations,†notes Jeff Lupisella, principal at Vizuäl. "The solution requires a combination of close listening, strategic thinking and smart brand development."
To help the alliance build awareness among the public and other stakeholders, Vizuäl will develop a series of graphic display stands that are especially suitable for use at trade shows and other public gatherings. Unlike his firm's traditional branding engagements, Lupisella explains, "AAPHERD needs a branding solution that is clear in what it conveys, and also very careful in what it doesn't convey. Each of the member organizations will retain its own brand identity, while clearly being part of a larger alliance."
